Dr. Joel Lopez, M.D., C.N.S., is an Integrative Medicine physician and a Certified Nutrition Specialist. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine, an Advisory Board Member of the Orthomolecular Society and a Medical Consultant at the Asian Institute of Longevity Medicine in Makati City, Philippines. Dr. Lopez is also currently the Associate Medical Director of San Francisco Preventive Medical Group.
After completing his residency in Internal Medicine at the Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in 1996, Dr. Lopez continued his medical training; aligning his work with his personal philosophies. He studied with complementary alternative medical pioneers such as Dr. Gus Prosch, Ayurvedic specialist Dr. Robert Willix, Dr. Chiedu Nchekwube and Dr. Paul Lynn.
Dr. Lopez has written health articles for different publications. He has also appeared in local and national radio, cable and TV programs. Dr. Lopez is featured in the upcoming documentary about the benefits of a raw food diet called “May I be Frank.”
His interests include painting, working out, tai chi, yoga, reading fiction and non-fiction novels and learning new languages.
He is a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, American College for Advancement in Medicine, Defeat Autism Now, American College of Nutrition and the American Society of Aesthetic Mesotherapy.
