The Institute for Progressive Medicine is looking for an experienced part-time M.D. or D.O., board certified or board eligible in internal medicine or family practice. Must have experience and/or a genuine interest in integrative and alternative therapies. Training specific therapies and procedures will be provided. The Institute for Progressive Medicine is a rapidly expanding private practice located in the heart of the Irvine Spectrum area. Our purpose is to support health and manage illness using both traditional and alternative medicine. Some alternative physicians avoid drugs entirely. We believe it is important to have expertise in conventional therapies in order to determine when drugs and surgery can be deferred, when and how drugs may be withdrawn, and when they should be employed. Our facility currently includes a full diagnostic laboratory, six well equipped exam rooms and a DXA scanner. Some of the therapies we utilize in our practice include enhanced external counterpulsation for heart disease, IV therapy, prolotherapy, acupuncture, Chinese and Western herbal formulas, and targeted nutritional supplements and exercise
