ATTENTION DOCTORS: DISCOVERY CHANNEL PLANET GREEN IS LOOKING FOR
DIAGNOSIS STORIES OF ENVIRONMENTAL MEDICINE
It is estimated that 24 % of all diseases are somehow tied to environmental hazards such as chemicals, fumes, pollution, allergens—even noise. Yet, symptoms caused by environmental factors are difficult to diagnose and are often mistaken for other medical problems.
The Discovery Channel Planet Green wants to hear from doctors about these unusual cases that they correctly diagnosed. We are also looking for patients who want to tell their stories about environmentally-linked illnesses and their road to diagnoses on this new enviro-medical mystery television series.
Each episode will feature two distinct stories that start with a bizarre cluster of symptoms that stump the medical community, until a doctor has that "a-ha" moment and solves the mystery.
Qualified participants must have been successfully diagnosed and must be willing to talk about their medical journey on camera. We are approaching these stories from a green angle and are hopeful that your story may help and educate others.
